Ellek is a heavily textured pot with a rustic finish that has had a blackened paint finish applied. More recently worn + weathered, the result is the rugged pot with tons of interest shown here. 
Black clay pots are very rare to come by so this painted pot is really the closest for that super dark finish.

Antique Olive Pot Collection

Repurposed as large decorative statement pieces for the home + ornamental sculptures for the garden, Kiln’s collection of large Turkish olive pots + jars were used traditionally to store olive oil + preserves as early as the 19th Century. Each is individually selected for its authentic hand thrown charm + patina capturing years of desirable ageing.

Care

Take special care to simply clean with a damp cloth. For pots with a whitewash finish clean only with a dry cloth.

Terracotta is a porous material, pots are recommended as display only for dried, preserved + faux foliage. Use with a flexible pot liner to allow for fresh flowers in water.

For outdoor use pots must be protected from frost. We advise creating a drainage hole, many of our pots will have one. If used as a planter we recommend using a plastic pot liner within to allow for expansion of frozen soil + water.
